This is an end grain cutting board made from walnut, codename CU50 – it was a gift for my good friends Cissi and Ulrik for their 50th birthday celebration. They held a very memorable party at a classic place called Rock Bar in our home town Uddevalla.
The walnut is cut into various shapes to create a very special pattern. Each piece is CNC milled to get the required precision. I also had to make some dedicated clamps in order to apply even pressure during gluing, as seen in the pictures below. The pieces was glued one row at a time.
