We needed a new table for our veranda, and I saw a table design on Pinterest that got me really inspired. I constructed a long router sled that I used for flattening and thinning the raw walnut wood - it worked surprisingly well. We are very happy with the table, and since it weighs about 100kgs it is very robust and stable.
In this blog I show the results of my hobby – making art and other stuff with my homebuilt CNC machine. I mainly work with combinations of wood and epoxy resin, coloured by various types of pigments and metal powder. The subjects often involve items from the nature and mathematical objects such as fractals.

Centerpiece - Simulated waves
I got some left-over wood from our veranda table build, which I made a centerpiece of. I used a program called Blender to create some simulated ocean waves, which I exported to Fusion 360 to generate g-code for my CNC.
