My second cousin Hanna is getting married to Peter tomorrow, and I made them an end grain cutting board for present. The base is made of walnut, and the inlay of maple. This is my first attempt of wooden inlay, I think it turned out pretty well. I added a slope to the inlay shapes so when they were glued under pressure it made the walnut/maple seams practically invisible. Also, all inlays shapes are cut from single blocks, so there are no visible seams in the maple either.
